More than just a ride, a weekend of fun enjoying the Sierra.

Below is the 2017 schedule of events for the weekend. 2018 will be similar, details coming.

Friday Night Picnic June 1st

  • Location: Start/Finish Line at Lake Davis 
  • Onsite registration & check in: 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm
  • Snacks and beverages:
    • Beer available - 5:00pm to 7:30pm
      • Beer at check-in
        • $5.00 per beer – all beer proceeds go to trails too!
        • Registered riders/racers get a ticket for a beverage
        • Volunteers get a ticket for a beverage

Saturday June 2nd

  • Breakfast on your own
  • Registration & check in: 6:00am to 8:00am (@ 100 mile riders) and 6:30am to 9:00am (@ 60/30 mile riders)
  • Ride start times: 
    • 8:30 – 100 mile Pro Men and Pro Women, Singlespeed
    • 8:35 – 100 mile Amateur riders 30 and under
    • 8:40 – 100 mile Amateur riders 31-40
    • 8:45 – 100 mile Amateur riders 41-50
    • 8:50 – 100 mile Amateur riders 51 and over
    • 9:30 – 65 mile riders 30 and under
    • 9:35 – 65 mile riders 31-40
    • 9:40 – 65 mile riders 41 and over
    • 10:00 – 45 mile ALL riders
  • Non-riders out having fun at Lake Davis – anytime
  • Post ride recovery time at Coot Bay: 12:00pm to 5:00pm
    • Lost and Found Marketplace open at noon
    • Awards for 45 and 65 mile racers is scheduled to start at 3pm. 100 mile results will be posted, but awards will kick off the Portola festivities, in town.
    • Donation drawings during awards ceremony – all ticket sales also go to trails!
    • Post ride meal
      • Registered rider participants – free
      • Volunteers 

      • Non-riders attendees – $15 per person - pre-buy at Eventbrite - see "Additional Meal - non-racer" choice 
    • Beer available for all - 2:00pm to 6:00pm  
      • Beer at check-in

  • Dinner and Smores on your own OR
  • Portola Post Ride Party!   5pm - 10pm
    New this year, a Saturday night party in Portola with food, beer, live music, and dancing - the way we like to do it!
    • Camping in Portola - 200 in-town camping spots available, $15/day includes showers -
      Reserve them now while you can!

      Consider camping onsite at Portola City Park for convenient partying opportunities.
      check in at City Hall (directly across the street from the Portola City park) with proof of camping pass purchase, they will provide basic information and code for access to showers.  If you arrive after 5pm on Fri, pick a spot at the baseball fields, around the back side from the Portola City Park, and check in at City Hall on Saturday.
    • 100-Mile Ride Awards Ceremony
      Will be held in town this year to celebrate the victors in style beginning around 6 pm.
      Awards for the 45 and 65 mile races will still be held at Lake Davis.
    • Kids Race - 7pm
      There will be a kid's evening race around the park. This is a fun race just for the kids to have some fun on their bikes too.

    • Live Music! - 8:15
      Jelly Bread will be playing a 90min set on stage in Portola City Park after 100-mile awards.

    • Adult Beverage Garden 5:00 - 9:30pm

    • Shuttle Service to Lake Davis Campgrounds
      For those who already have a camping spot at Lake Davis, the
      Plumas Rural Services team will provide free transportation (donations accepted) from Lake Davis to Portola
      beginning at 5:00pm with the last shuttle back to Lake Davis leaves at 10:00pm from Portola City Park. 

Sunday June 3th

  • Breakfast and lunch on your own (Portola is hosting a pancake breakfast!)
  • More fun at Lake Davis
    • Hiking, biking, fishing, paddling, sitting in a chair recovering peacefully
    • Rest sore legs
    • Attend to sunburns for those who didn’t use sunscreen on Saturday
  • Eventually pack-up your crap and roll out of there or stay longer
    • Note: Squatting rights do not apply – as nice as it is, you can’t live at the lake people
